Target X TED
2015, 2014, 2013
At TED 2015 in Vancouver, Target brought the theme Truth and Dare to life with The Daring Truth. Optical illusions, interactive installations, and a 2,500-ball suspended art piece by Mike Murphy challenged guests' perceptions. A lie-detection booth and coffee sleeves printed with dares added playful, thought-provoking elements.
For TED 2014: The Next Chapter, Target introduced Write the Next Chapter, where guests interacted with a handwriting robot, had their writing analyzed, and watched live portraits sketched from speaker quotes—all within a scenic coffee bar overlooking Vancouver Harbor.
At TED 2013 in Long Beach, CA, A Mind for Design invited guests to explore an interactive space that changed colors based on engagement. Using EEG technology, attendees completed brain-challenging activities and received personalized "Brainscopes."
Our Role: Full ideation, creative design, planning and production with Deutsch.
